Last year Wolvercote Musicians gave a benefit concert for Sobell House in memory of Catherine Clarke. It was the first time for the village to get together for an event since lockdown. It was such a lovely atmosphere that the musicians and the audience were keen that we should do it again.
We all know Sobell House and admire the expert and compassionate care they provide for cancer patients both in their hospice and through outreach. Most of us have friends, family or simply know of people who have benefited from their care.
This concert has four acts playing for just under 30 minutes each. There’ll be an interval at halftime where refreshments will be served by donation.
Wolvercote Musicians have taken part in benefit concerts and concerts for the Wolvercote Festival and in and around Oxford for more than 20 years now. The music for this concert is acoustic, drawn from contemporary and traditional folk and a sprinkling of songs written by the musicians.
