The Society was founded in 1987 with the aim and object of bringing together people who are interested in the history of Wolvercote in the City of Oxford and to encourage the study of the history of Wolvercote.

Elsi Hamilton Memories of Oxford in Wartime
Elsi arrived from Prague in 1939 to learn English and had to stay on. She was employed as a waitress in Cornmarket until she joined up as a WAAF at Brize Norton.
Members of the Monday Lunch Club and others will add their memories and bring souvenirs.

Paul Gourd A history of Linkside Avenue and Lakeside and the field they were built on
Wednesday 26th June 2024 Visit to Worcester College Archive and tour of the college and garden at 2.30 pm led by Emma Goodrum.
