Grow on in pots until autumn then plant in sunny pot against a wall  

Acacia dealbata

Small tree.  Currently just under one foot.  Will eventually grow to 20’. Slightly tender so requires a sheltered spot.  Could grow to 50’ but can be coppiced in a pot for greenhouse/conservatory. Good in towns.  Very decorative in flower

Ajuga reptans possibly ‘Atropurpurea’

Creeping front of bed, flowering late spring. S or PS. 

Alchemilla mollis

Low herbaceous perennial forming a clump of softly hairy, light green leaves with scalloped and toothed edges. Large sprays of small, bright yellow flowers. Spreading. S or PS.

Allium cristophii ‘star of Persia‘ – SOLD OUT

Large globes of small, star-shaped, pinkish-purple flowers  in summer. The faded flowerheads are useful for dried flower arrangements. S

Has daisy flowers for most of the year.  Can be grown in a rock garden, crevices, pots or at the front of a border.

Euphorbia amygdaloides var robbiae (Mrs  Robb’s Bonnet )

Wood spurge. Good for difficult spots – e.g.  light shade around base of trees. Will spread freely. However easy to control.

Exochorda macrantha

Probably ‘The Bride’. Shrub to 5.’ S.

Galium odoratum

Woodruff. A wonderful ground cover plant for a shady area. It will spread quickly, so dot plants about as they will quickly fill in the gaps. It grows where other plants die.

Gaura lindheimeri

Enjoys a sunny, free draining spot.  Can be grown in a pot or border. White flowers tinged in pink. About 1m.

Geranium cranesbill ‘Mourning Widow

Very useful herbaceous perennial suitable for growing under trees and shrubs.  Does well in poor soil. Happy in dry shade. The photo doesn’t do it justice as it is elegant in flower.  Flowering early summer.

Hedera helix ‘Goldchild’

Ivy. Medium-sized evergreen climber with clinging aerial roots.  Light green young leaves broadly margined with bright yellow; the older leaves grey-green edged with pale yellow; no flowers.

Rock Rose. Flowers pink May – July. Trim flowers back after flowering to retain shape.

Greenish flowers in late winter/early spring.  Dappled shade

Very easy to grow and enjoys several seasons of interest.  Pretty spring colour, followed by yellow flowers and then berries.  Grows to about 4′, more if not pruned.  Can be kept small. Prune to shape or leave to fill an area.

Yellow flowering climber if planted against a wall but will require supports.

Shrub to 10’. S. Mass of bell-shaped flowers in Spring.

Very easy to grow in sun or partial shade. Emits a lovely fragrance if brushed when walking past. Can be grown in cracks or in a border as a hedge or individual plant. Loved by insects.

Pineapple Sage. Flowers red. The flowers are loved by butterflies and bees. Grow in a position with morning sun and afternoon shade in well-draining moist soil. Established plants will tolerate drought conditions. Cuttings can be taken in the autumn or mulch over winter. Enjoys a sunny sheltered, free draining spot. Still flowering in December in a mild winter.

Very resilient.  Flowers throughout the summer.  Can prune to shape.  Easy to take cuttings from.
