Wolvercote and Wytham Midsummer Festival

Wolvercote and Wytham Midsummer Festival is a locally-based event with a focus on celebrating our community.  We provide a wide range of events and activities for all ages to enjoy while keeping it mostly cost-neutral. From its inception, it has been committed to minimising its environmental impact and carbon footprint wherever possible, and to promoting sustainability within the community. The committee continues to strive to maintain this aim and welcomes suggestions and offers of help from the general public towards achieving it.

The Festival is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations to cover costs. Any surplus is distributed to local groups.

The Festival started in 2003 and has become a celebration of village life with most of our local groups represented throughout one week in June.  In 2010 we were delighted to include neighbouring Wytham in an extended programme.

The events change from year to year but the ethos is to bring together everyone from the community to dance, sing, browse, chat or simply look on at the events that the festival committee puts on under an annual theme. See our constitution.
